How to Unlock LawTrust

You must purchase the program or a replacement key in order to receive an unlock key. If you have not done so and you request an unlock key, you will not receive a reply.

If you have previously been provided a key and your computer crashed or you need to reinstall the program, you must purchase a replacement key. You cannot unlock the software without first purchasing the full version or a replacement key. You will need your PayPal "Unique Transaction ID" number. It would have been sent to you by Email. If you cannot locate it, provide your approximate date of purchase of the original program. Click here to purchase an unlock key.

The LawTrust software, when installed, will create a unique key. This key must be sent back to us. We will then generate a liberation key for you to use to unlock the full program. Start the program by double clicking on the LawTrust icon or go to Start/All Programs and locate the LawTrust folder. You must restart the program. If you have any trouble getting the program to unlock, restart the computer.

The PayPal transaction ID number was sent to you by PayPal when you purchased the program. If you cannot locate it, you will need to furnish the approximate date of your purchase or the Email used to purchase the program.

You will not receive a response unless we have a record of your purchase of the program or a replacement key. We will Email you the "Unlock Key" usually within 24 hours. When you receive the key from us, start LawTrust, return to Help, Unlock LawTrust and paste the key we sent you into the "Unlock Key" slot which is highlighted in RED in the graphic below.



Click OK then restart the program. If the program continues to ask for a key, try restarting your computer.

IMPORTANT: please use the backup feature contained within the program to backup your data. If your computer malfunctions or your hard drive fails, you will wish you had backed up the data file. It only takes a few seconds. We receive at least one Email every six months from a user who's computer has failed and they lost their data. We cannot recover your data file. It is your responsibility to make sure you backup the data file! Burn it to CD or save to a USB drive for storage.

WARNING - if you have already installed LawTrust, you do not need to do so again. If you ever re-install LawTrust, it will install over the top of the LawTrust program you may already have on your computer and this will delete the files you have created. Always make sure you make a backup of your data file before installing LawTrust.
